Creating Tasks

Tasks help you track work that needs to be done. Create tasks for case preparation, follow-ups, client meetings, and more.

Priority Levels

  • Low: Can be done when time permits
  • Medium: Standard priority for regular tasks
  • High: Important tasks that need attention
  • Urgent: Critical tasks with immediate deadlines

Linking to Cases

Associate tasks with specific cases to keep your work organized. Linked tasks appear in the case timeline and help track case progress.

Assigning Tasks

Law firms can assign tasks to team members. Click on team member avatars to assign or unassign. You can assign to multiple people for collaborative tasks.

Subtasks

Break complex tasks into smaller subtasks. Check off subtasks as you complete them to track progress. The main task is marked complete when all subtasks are done.

Recurring Tasks

Set tasks to repeat daily, weekly, or monthly. Great for routine activities like weekly status updates, monthly billing, or recurring court dates.

Use keyboard shortcut N from the Tasks page to quickly open the new task form. Press Escape to close the modal.
